One of the most common requests we have heard over the years is some way to compare your instincts against other MyGameSim users. You have always been able to run simulations and dig into the numbers, but predicting outcomes before a game tips off or kicks off is a different kind of challenge. Starting today, MyGameSim.com users can make winner and spread picks directly on the predictions pages for college basketball, NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, WNBA, and college football.  No subscription is required so everyone can play along for FREE!

Making a pick is straightforward. Before a game starts, you will see buttons next to each matchup that let you choose a winner and, when a line is available, a side against the spread. Once you submit your pick, the buttons are replaced by a live community percentage bar showing how the entire GameSim user base is leaning. You can instantly see whether you are going with the crowd or taking a contrarian position, which adds a layer of context that the simulation data alone cannot give you.

After games are finalized, pick results are graded automatically. We track every correct and incorrect pick across all sports, and that history feeds into the new Community Picks Scoreboard. The scoreboard shows the top 25 users ranked by accuracy, with filters for sport and date range so you can see who is running hot right now versus who has been consistent all season. The scoreboard is available directly from the GameSim+ menu.

We also added pick-based achievements to the Achievements page. There are milestones for total picks submitted, from your very first pick all the way to 1,000, as well as streaks for submitting picks on consecutive days. When you unlock a new milestone, a notification will appear on the page right after you make your pick. The full list of what you have earned is always visible on your Achievements page.

This is the first version of Community Picks and we plan to build on it. In the meantime, head to any predictions page, log in to your GameSim+ account, and start picking.
